This new documentary brings Hollywood's premier composers together to give viewers a privileged look inside the musical challenges and creative secrecy of the world's most widely known music genre: the film score. Taking a peek at how composers developed some of the most iconic film and television scores in history, SCORE follows the creative struggles of designing a modern soundtrack from scratch, interviewing some of cinema's most recognized names in film music as they work.

Special guest Richard Altenbach will be interviewed by Beverly Lewis, Director, Placer-Lake Tahoe Film Office, followed by a Q&A. An A-List Violinist, and Principal for Danny Elfman, Altenbach has participated in over 1,000 film scores with such composers as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Howard Shore, James Newton Howard, and the two late greats Jerry Goldsmith and John Barry.

Sponsored by Dean Prigmore and Patrice Taylor.

Formerly 1st Violinist of the Los Angeles Chamber, LA Opera, Joffrey Ballet, and Houston Symphony Orchestras, he has also served as Concertmaster of the Mozart Camerata, Associate Concertmaster of the Omaha, Berkeley, and Hollywood Bowl Orchestras, and member of the Fontenelle String Quartet.

Richard performs currently as Concertmaster of Auburn Symphony and InConcert Sierra. He has been featured locally as a chamber musician and as soloist for Music in the Mountains, inConcert Sierra, and the Apollo Arts Ensemble.
