A CALL TO ARTISTS
for
Hell on Wheels - Art of the Rails: A show honoring the history of
Roseville's role in Rail commerce.
Coker Gallery
This show will be honoring the history of Roseville’s role in rail commerce and exhibiting works
that relate closely to this history. Artists are encouraged to submit a contemporary view of the
history and beauty of railroads. Any medium may be used, Hell on Wheels - Art of the Rails: A
show honoring the history of Roseville's role in Rail commerce. Works will be selected from
emerging and established artists from around the world. The goal of this exhibition is to
showcase works that relate closely to Roseville' railroad history - including but not limited to -
Roseville's beginnings serving as the junction for the Central Pacific Railroad, The home of
largest ice manufacturing plant in the world to ship California produce to other parts of the
country, to current day as the largest rail yard on the west coast and the role rail cars play as a
mobile canvas for art.

Pick up unsold work from Blue Line Arts:……November 25th and November 26th 10am to 3pm
Eligibility
 Open to artists all artist from around the world.
 Any medium can be used but, all work must include cast iron in the work in some way.
 All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years
 Artwork cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts
 All 2-D and 3-D works must be ready to hang
 All artwork must be for sale
 Accepted artwork that differs significantly from image in online submission will be
disqualified
 No accepted entry may be withdrawn or sold outside of the exhibition prior to the
closing date
 Blue Line Arts handles all sales transactions. Non-member artists receive a 50%
commission from all gallery sales and members receive a 60% commission
 Size limitations
 Art must be able to enter through the doors with a clearance of 94”h x 91”w
 Ceilings in the gallery are 10 feet high
 The artist is responsible to pay for all shipping and should have a prepaid label from
FedEx or US mail (No UPS) for return of artwork
 Applicants must apply online using the application form below. There is a $35 fee for
non-members, members are free.
Application Requirements: Applicants must apply using the form on the Blue Line Arts website,
http://www.bluelinearts.org/call-to-artists. You must be 18 years or older to apply.
